The Pastor’s Baby

The Oregon Territory, March 1851: After the hardest winter she’s ever lived through, Olivia Montgomery has an even bigger adventure ahead –- she is going to be a mother any day.

Her wagon company has been settled in their frontier town of Eden Valley in the west for almost six months now, and while she has a roof over her head and plans for her garden, she is a long way from the quiet security she had dreamt of.

Olivia is the pastor’s wife, and is starting to realize exactly what that means. Folks in the congregation are beginning to look to her to lead them, even though it’s all she can do to try to be ready for the new baby.
