Oregon Territory, December 1850: Annie Hudson has braved the long, perilous journey across the continent to answer a mail-order bride advertisement from Isaac Wheeler. The rugged frontier is far more than she expected, but Annie is determined to carve out a new life as a wife.

However, the challenges have only begun. As she prepares for her first Christmas without the comforting presence of her beloved oldest sister, Annie must also navigate the unfamiliar responsibilities of being a new bride in a close-knit frontier town. The weight of her new husband’s expectations and the pressures of her new community begin to mount.
