Surely love must be waiting for her in Oregon.

Nora Cole has been in love with Jimmy Rayburn since she could walk, but when he becomes betrothed to her best friend, she has to rethink all the big idyllic plans she had for her future. Luckily, her parents decide to try their fate in the Oregon Territory. Nora and her sister Amy go with them, and she easily starts rebuilding her dreams of a life-long love, family and children.

Throwing herself whole-heartedly into the romance of her journey west, Nora soon learns that the reality of survival must take all precedence. Any dreams she had of meeting the love of her life are dashed.
