How did she even get here?

Rebecca Tenney had everything she wanted: a cozy home, generous family, and a marriage to the man of her dreams. She had vowed to follow Andrew Tenney anywhere, so when he began making plans for them to settle in the Oregon Territory, Rebecca was happy to do her part.

When Andrew dies unexpectedly, Rebecca makes the heartfelt promise to him to continue his dream, and to start her new life in Oregon in his memory
